My work is influenced by observations of the environment around me both natural and man-made.
In particular the influence one has on another.
I find myself drawn to interesting textures and vibrant colours, sometimes these are found in unexpected places.
I have often worked in mixed media but more recently my textile work has taken on a more sculptural feel.
I am excited by the possibilities of embroidering into these three dimensional forms.
This interest is rooted in my college years when I often worked in clay.
