Pascale Putz
I am a Luxembourg based textile artist.
After dabbling in pottery for a while, I found my way into textiles through quilts which led to textile art in general.
Being able to produce tactile and three-dimensional pieces related to pottery, with which I am familiar,
presented new opportunities that still continue to fascinate me.
I am attracted by the natural world, its textures and colours, but inspiration can be found everywhere.
Sometimes a simple word may spark an idea that starts germinating in my head and eventually leads to a final project.
Themes I like to explore are inspired by environmental and changing female domesticity issues in our current society.
The various techniques I use are selected according to their fit for purpose.
I like to combine mixed media and paint with fibre, cloth and thread to achieve the desired effects.
Curiosity and exploration are the driving forces of my working process.
